Distinguished Visiting Fellows

The Distinguished Visiting Fellows Program recognizes outstanding scholars, practitioners, policymakers, jurists, and civil society leaders whose expertise has made significant contributions to advancing health equity, racial justice, human rights, and related fields. As members of the UNESCO Chair on Health, Race and Human Rights' global network, Distinguished Visiting Fellows contribute their diverse perspectives and experience to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, foster international partnerships, and support the Chair's research, educational, and public engagement initiatives.

Distinguished Visiting Fellows bring together leading scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates from across the Global North and South whose expertise enriches the Chair's work. Through collaborative research, mentorship, public engagement, and strategic contributions to the Chair's initiatives, they help advance critical scholarship and strengthen the Chair's growing international network.

A call for applications and nominations for Distinguished Visiting Fellows will be released in late Summer/Early Fall 2026. We warmly invite scholars, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, and thought leaders whose work aligns with the Chair's mission to consider joining this international community. Fellows will have opportunities to contribute to collaborative research and publications, participate in Chair events and the UNESCO Global Congress on Health, Race and Human Rights, and help shape innovative responses to some of the world's most pressing health and human rights challenges.
